I have been in this industry for over 15 years. I have worked for custom paint companies such as Airea 5150, Iron Art Industries, The Paint Shop, Sinister Flames, Vivid Dragon Designs, CR Designs, Crisp Designs, to name just a few. After gaining the knowledge needed to provide my customers with a product that I can be proud of, I started Airtite Art Custom Paint and Design. I strive to provide the best possible product available.
and the Artist
Arizona born artist, Shawn Wilken has been painting and drawing since he was 3 years old. Primarily self-taught with little professional training, Shawn’s influences come from a lifetime of experience. Early drawing classes are where he developed a love for the human form. Consumed by its complexity, Shawn has spent endless hours perfecting his technique and interpretation of the human figure. More than just paintings, Shawn’s art evokes powerful feelings.
His early work in the apparel and tattoo industry set the stage for a 14-year journey of discovery and self-expression through art. Shawn was an instructor at Gateway Community College for 5 years teaching art classes at the age of 22. When not working on his own muscle car, Shawn now paints anything he can get his hands on. From canvas and paper, to the metal of custom cars and bikes, to the murals in his studio, his unique designs include vibrant flames, beautiful pin up girls, haunting demons, and mystical wildlife.

Shawn has been on the Discovery's Biker Build Off, Fox Sport Network. His award winning work has been seen in magazines such as V-Twin, Iron Horse, Easy Rider, Hot Rod, and books featuring custom cars and motorcycles. Husband, father, artist and biker, Shawn has always forged his own path. His keen eye and unique style stand tall in a world of mainstream clutter.
